About the trip
Yercaud is a small hill station in the Shevaroy hills, just above Salem, known for coffee and orange estates, a boating lake and valley viewpoints. It is cooler and quieter than Ooty or Kodaikanal, which makes it an easy weekend or day escape. The ghat road from Salem has 20 hairpin bends and good views back over the plains.
