About the trip
Tirupati, at the foot of the Tirumala hills, is where pilgrims start for the Sri Venkateswara Temple, one of the most visited shrines in India. From Vijayawada it is a long highway drive, usually tied to a darshan booking. The road follows NH 16 south through Ongole and Nellore, then turns inland at Naidupeta towards Tirupati.
