About the trip
Velankanni is a coastal town near Nagapattinam, home to the Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health, often called the Lourdes of the East. Pilgrims of all faiths visit for Mass, offerings and the September feast. The route follows the East Coast Road through Pondicherry, Cuddalore, Chidambaram and Karaikal, passing several temple towns and the Nagore Dargah on the way.
