About the trip
Kanyakumari sits at the southern tip of the Indian mainland, where the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean meet. People come to watch sunrise and sunset over the water, take the ferry to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and pray at the Kumari Amman temple. From Kovalam the drive crosses into Tamil Nadu and passes the old wooden Padmanabhapuram Palace near Thuckalay.
