About the trip
Trivandrum, or Thiruvananthapuram, is Kerala's capital, only a short drive from Kovalam beach. Visitors come for the Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, museums and palaces from the Travancore era, shopping at Chalai market, and the airport and railway station. A half-day city tour covers the main sights easily, and there is time left for Shanghumugham beach in the evening.
