About the trip
Coorg, or Kodagu, is a hilly district of coffee and pepper estates, misty valleys and the source of the Kaveri. Its main town, Madikeri, has Raja's Seat, the old fort and a lively market. People go for the cool weather, estate stays and Kodava food. From Mangalore the road runs through Puttur and Sullia before climbing the Sampaje ghat, making it a comfortable day out.
