About the trip
Pykara is a quiet stretch of lake, river and grassland on the western side of Ooty. People go for a boat ride on the reservoir, a look at the waterfalls and the green hills that film crews love. The road from Ooty passes pine plantations and the well-known Shooting Spot, so it makes an easy half-day or relaxed full-day outing.
