About the trip
Wayanad is a green highland district in north Kerala with tea and spice estates, waterfalls, the Edakkal caves and wildlife sanctuaries. Travellers come for resort stays, easy treks and cool weather. From Cochin the road runs north through Thrissur and Calicut, then climbs the Thamarassery ghat with its nine hairpin bends to Lakkidi, Vythiri and Kalpetta.
