About the trip
Bannerghatta National Park lies on the southern edge of Bangalore and is the city's easiest wildlife outing. It combines a zoo, a lion and tiger safari, a butterfly park and a rescue centre in scrub forest. Families with children like it most. The drive down Bannerghatta Road is short but can be slow in city traffic, so an early start helps.

Take Bannerghatta Road south past Jayadeva and Hulimavu. Reach by 9:30 am when the safari counters open; the park is closed on Tuesdays.
