About the trip
Chitradurga is a fort town built among huge granite boulders in central Karnataka, known for its seven rings of stone walls, hidden gates and the story of Onake Obavva, who defended it with a pestle. History lovers and families visit for the fort walk and the views. The six-lane NH 48 via Tumkur makes it one of the quicker long drives out of Bangalore.
