About the trip
Chikmagalur is the birthplace of coffee in India, a green hill district of estates, waterfalls and the highest peaks in Karnataka. Weekenders come for homestays, short treks up Mullayanagiri and drives through the Baba Budangiri range. The road from Bangalore takes NH 75 to Hassan and then turns north through Belur, so you can see the Hoysala temples on the way.
