About the trip
Jatayu Earth's Center at Chadayamangalam is built on a rocky hill tied to the Ramayana story of the bird Jatayu. Its huge stone sculpture of the bird is among the largest in the world, and a cable car carries visitors up to it and the wide views over Kollam district. From Poovar the route goes through Trivandrum and then inland on the MC Road.

Bypass Trivandrum and take the MC Road via Venjaramoodu and Kilimanoor. Book cable car tickets online and aim to arrive by 10 am.
